Who Are IRC

IRC provides specialist training to healthcare providers across the NHS and the private hospital sector in the UK. We provide face-to-face mandatory training that is in line with the Core Skill Training Framework and also PMVA Training In Line With GSA.

What We Do

For staff members who care for service users and clients, we offer knowledge and safety training. We work in line with government policy and evidence-based practice and are committed to all aspects of conflict management, resolution, violence and prevention. Our excellent training programmes reflect our firm belief that restricting physical inputs should always be the last option.

Our Prevention, Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training, which is in accordance with the General Services Association (GSA), is our specialised training.

We also provide required training, both in-person and online, including topics like manual handling and basic life support for those who are seeking Mandatory training.

We also provide training on sterilisation and decontamination of surgical instruments.

We take pride in having made a commitment to the Restraint reduction network to minimise and implement plans that will allow us to create strategies based on the six guiding principles. by adhering to best practises for every aspect of service user support. The need to transform our organisational structure in a positive way through data-informed practises and the use of training needs analysis, which enables us to provide training that meets the needs of the services, guides our strategy.

We offer friendly, well-informed and enjoyable training. Our select trainers are experienced nurses and healthcare workers who have delivered extensive training in the field. Feedback from courses has exceptionally high satisfaction rates. Over 98% of clients would recommend our method to a colleague, and many also return.

By focusing on providing services through our training programmes on Human rights and a person-centred care approach—minimising the use of restrictive and coercive practices—, we are committed to working with services in trying to assist in the reduction of incidences that occur as a result of challenging behaviour and harmful behaviours, which make it hard for staff to deliver good care safely.
